Overview

I am a special counsel in Nexsen Pruet’s Charlotte, N.C. office. My primary area of focus is property subrogation. As part of that practice, I represent large insurance providers and their insureds in a wide range of litigation issues related to property damage to both residential and commercial properties all over the United States. I have successfully litigated a wide range of issues, including product liability cases, construction defect cases, catastrophic fire losses, and large water losses resulting from the negligence of others.

My goal is to provide quick and efficient guidance to assess the subrogation potential of each property loss. In order to accomplish this goal, I get involved as soon as a loss occurs to help my clients navigate the potential minefields that accompany all property subrogation matters. This requires putting together a qualified team of experts to investigate each unique property loss. Through my experience and contacts, I have the ability to put the right expert team in place for any type of loss.

I set a goal when I was six years old to attend Duke University and have been a Duke sports fan my whole life. After fulfilling my dream of attending Duke, I am even more of an avid Duke fan now. In my limited spare time, I enjoy traveling to Duke basketball and football games with family and friends. I have also begun brainwashing my two young sons by constantly dressing them in Duke gear.

Even though I am a die-hard Duke fan, I have many Tarheel family and friends to keep me balanced. They like to constantly remind me that I am the black sheep (I prefer “dark blue sheep”) and need to keep my Duke thoughts and comments to myself. In my opinion, that is why the Duke/UNC rivalry is the best in sports.
