C. Grainger Pierce, Jr. advises employers and owners on one of the most important assets of any business- their human capital.

Grainger works with companies large and small on everything from complex litigation to employee forms and handbooks. His experience includes employment litigation, employment policy and compliance assessment, ERISA litigation, insurance coverage litigation and commercial litigation. In addition, he has successfully represented clients before the North Carolina Supreme Court and North Carolina Court of Appeals.

He earned his undergraduate degree from Duke University and his law degree from the University of North Carolina School of Law in Chapel Hill. He has also served as an instructor in the Duke University and University of North Carolina - Charlotte paralegal programs.

When not in the office, there’s a good chance that you will find Grainger on a bicycle.  Whether on the road or a trail, Grainger loves being outdoors on two wheels.  Grainger especially enjoys long-distance mountain rides, and has finished the California Death Ride, Blood Sweat & Gears, and the Blue Ridge Brutal, among others.  Grainger is a proud resident of Gastonia, and serves as the Cubmaster for Cub Scout Pack 11.
