Overview

Erin Cowan Mosley practices in the areas of commercial real estate and lending, business permitting, and federal and local liquor licensing matters across North Carolina. Erin is well equipped to handle a business transaction, from purchasing the property to obtaining all business licenses and permits needed to open the doors.

As part of the Firm’s licensing team, Erin assists clients in obtaining necessary permits and licenses for retailers, wholesalers, manufacturers, and importers. Erin is experienced in navigating supplier and wholesaler disputes as well as the termination of such relationships.

As part of the firm’s real estate and finance team, Erin is particularly experienced in assisting lenders with commercial loans secured by real property, LIHTC lending, and assisting commercial businesses with the sale, purchase, and leasing of commercial real property.

Erin began her legal career at the firm as a Business Litigation Legal Assistant and later was a Law Clerk for the firm while earning her law degree. These roles helped expose her to a wide range of practice areas, including environmental law, pharmaceutical litigation, and medical malpractice. Prior to Erin's graduation, she worked as a judicial intern for United States District Court Magistrate Judge David C. Keesler in addition to her responsibilities at the firm.

Outside of her practice, Erin is dedicated to spending time with her family and chocolate lab. In her free time, she enjoys playing the piano, cooking, and watching football. Go Hokies!

Erin earned her undergraduate degree, cum laude, from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and her law degree from Wake Forest University.

Outside Maynard Nexsen

I'm very competitive and when it comes to my clients' needs ...

I play to win.

I am originally from Hendersonville, NC where I grew up loving soccer, volleyball, and tennis. I also enjoy playing the piano and have been since age 6. For my last few years of high school, I lived in Lexington, NC, the "BBQ capital of the South".

Before deciding to attend law school, I actually applied for culinary school - ultimately my passion for the practice of law outweighed my knack for conjuring up meals in the kitchen. But, don't get me wrong, I can still cook up a mean baked ziti.

In my down time, I enjoy cheering on the Hokies and managing my fantasy football teams. Here's to a great season!
