Overview

Cory McKenna is an associate focusing his practice on real estate, corporate and tax law. Cory has been part of the Nexsen Pruet family since 2016, when he clerked in the Charlotte office. He has previously clerked for the Honorable Gregory P. McGuire of the North Carolina Business Court in Raleigh. Additionally, he worked as a Judicial Extern for Justice Samuel J. Ervin, IV of the North Carolina Supreme Court.

Cory also has a background in litigation, with experience drafting complaints, counterclaims and motions, as well as a wide range of legal research.

Cory earned his law degree from the University of North Carolina School of Law as well as his undergraduate degree, majoring in History. He was on the Dean’s List each semester of law school and was the Managing Editor of the NC Banking Institute Journal.
