Jason Pfister Named to "40 Under 40" List

Triangle Business Journal

June 24, 2016

The Triangle Business Journal has named Nexsen Pruet attorney Jason Pfister as a member of this year’s class of “40 Under 40.”

This awards program recognizes recognize outstanding professionals under the age of 40 for their contributions to their organizations and to the community.

Excerpts from Pfister's Profile include:

What is the greatest obstacle you have overcome in your career?

A month before I was supposed to take the bar exam, our twins were born nearly three months premature. They spent almost three months in the hospital, which means that I spent the month before the bar exam studying from the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Needless to say, passing the bar exam is the biggest obstacle that I have overcome in my career.

What is your professional goal five years from now?

In five years, I hope that I am still continuing to develop my practice at Nexsen Pruet (if they still want me around) and contributing to the growth of the office by recruiting and mentoring the firm’s next generation of attorneys.

Jason Pfister has represented clients in commercial litigation matters for nearly 10 years. In addition, he has a strong depth of knowledge in matters related to the telecommunications sector.   His background with local planning commissions, zoning boards, planning associations, and municipalities has helped a number of clients achieve favorable outcomes in real estate, land use, and zoning litigation concerns.

Pfister's involvement spans well beyond the legal community. He served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Triangle Chapter of March of Dimes, and participated in public awareness events. He also is actively involved as a part of the Board for the Interfaith Food Shuttle. He has also volunteered as a mentor for SAFEChild's Nurturing Program, and coached his son's baseball team for numerous years.

The awards program recognizing Pfister, along with the other honorees for 2016 took place on Friday, June 24th.
