Nexsen Pruet attorney Bob Coble was honored in Columbia on June 3rd with the dedication of “Coble Plaza.”

John Monk reported on the event for The State in an article entitled "Former Columbia Mayor Coble honored with plaza."

It begins:

More than 100 Midlands public officials, friends and family of longtime former Columbia Mayor Bob Coble turned out Wednesday to see a broad open-air plaza adjoining Edventure Children’s Museum dedicated to him.

“Leadership in today’s world has to be visionary – it has to be people who can imagine what Columbia, the Midlands, will be like 10, 15, 20 years from now,” said Lexington County council member Debbie Summers, who said Coble as mayor was a major Midlands force in having officials from Lexington and Richland counties, as well as Columbia, work together.

Coble served as Mayor of the City of Columbia from 1990 until 2010 and is currently co-chair of Nexsen Pruet's Public Policy and Governmental Affairs Team.
